Driving to the neurologist’s office today, less than 2 miles from the hospital where the neurologist is located, mom receives a call from the neurologist alerted us that my appointment was earlier in the day and that we were late by 45 minutes. Mom promptly cancelled the appointment before we were marked as no show, and we turned around, disgruntled. This is an important lesson for all you good folks on the internet in writing down the exact time of your obligations. I did not write down the correct time of my appointment, so I will not see my neurologist until next week. I am angry, mostly only at myself, because it was my responsibility to keep track of the appointment time. For all you who are about to say, “but he’s Connor O’Brien”, I will say, I’m Connor O’Brien, not Jesus Christ. I am a knowledgable business leader, but I am as much prone to human error as anyone else on planet Earth. Let’s just suffice it to say, neuro-logistics will be avoided at future important appointments.
